Thanks @Peter Mckernan I was trying to avoid that 55 south freeway traffic. Lol. Do you recall the post thread or the name of the gentleman who is planning on starting a north Orange County meet up

Alex Leendertsen Alex, were you ever able to purchase your multiplex and if so how did the real estate investment go? I am looking at buy and holds out there as well or surrounding areas. My in laws live in Clarkston and work in Pullman. I'll be out there in June and was thinking about looking for some properties or at least meeting with a real estate agent. Seeing if you recommend any good honest real estate agents that I can reach out to and meet with in June

Emily Shirk Emily, I agree I believe the houses right now in California are going for more today than they did in 2005 and 2006 at the height of the market. I am in the same situation I am still living in my one bedroom condo with my wife, toddler and newborn. I am holding off on my bigger because I don't feel the current crappy houses on the market in Orange County, CA justify the prices.

@Dawn Anastasi

No problem, glad to see you guys are finding good deals that are generating good cash flow. Do you invest in other buy and hold properties outside of Milaukee?

@Alex,

That's good advice. Thank you! Your right in not mixing business with family.

Mehran,

Congratulations! Your first podcast gave me the inspiration of looking outside Southern California.  I live in Orange County, CA and the house prices out here are ridiculous.  The numbers to make sense for buy and holds out here.  I was wondering what you think are the out of state areas where the numbers do make sense? I know you and Dawn do deals in Milwaukee, but I was wondering if you have done deals in any other areas.

James,

I like this post.  I am from Orange County and I find it interesting that you compared Atlanta to Orange County.  Are you originally from Orange County?  If so I was wondering what your take is on the current state of housing prices in Orange County.  I feel like right now in April of 2016 the home prices are back to the top of the market.  Housing prices are going for what they were back at the peak right before the crash.  Do you feel like there is another housing burst on the rise? I am asking because I am afraid to sell my one bedroom condo that I bought at the bottom of the market and then using that to buy a bigger place because I think the housing prices are way too high right now in Orange County.
