Hi Tabatha,

Good question. I can't point you to any reports at this time and can't tell you if its a good area or not. However, with your price range I would recommend in the Niagara region and Sarnia/Windsor. Make sure you always understand the market before jumping in.

Cheers, Aj

Dave,

That is awesome and congrats on your achievements so far. Looks to me you really are enjoying it and have been successful. That's the exact reason why I am also look outside GTA, because I don't have a billion $. I did end up buying a student rental in St. Catharines and just got a lease signed from students. So I am looking for the next project.

I am definitely interested in picking your brains and learning from you. My goal is to buy, fix and hold. Truly appreciate your offer and I will be in touch with you in the next few weeks.

Hi to all Torontonians!

What city in the GTA (or even neighborhood) is your favorite area to look for properties and why?

I live in Brampton, but since it is not legal to have duplexes yet I don't look in my own area. I like places like Guelph, St. Catharines and Niagara region. Main reason is that properties are much cheaper and rental rates are high.

awesome point @Roy N.

Victor which city are you looking to purchase this rental property? I have noticed for some University towns the market has shifted. For Brock university it used to be that students were looking for next school year housing from Jan to March but now you have to start posting adds as early as November. With a lot more competition now lowering the rent for summer mgiht attract more viewers.
