@Ana G. I'd also like to connect with you too.

Every time I think I'm ready to take the plunge, I read some horror story.

@Karl Krentzel have I ever told you how much I absolutely LOVE your posts? Well I do. 1) Because you always break it down plain and simple, straight with no chaser; 2) Your use of graphics gives me life; 3) I respect your knowledge.

Hey @Dustin Little thanks for sharing Vumber. I've never heard of that before. I have used Kall 8 in the past and it was very inexpensive for a toll free number ($2/month for a basic number).

So help me out here. You said you're using just Word and Excel for this? Or are you using a program that integrates with Word and Excel? It's been a long time since I've had to use mail merge. As I start building my list I would love to have a simple solution aside from Word & Excel if possible.

Thanks. And good luck to you! Please share your progress.

BTW, this is a perfect example of what I was talking about in my blog post about having your own home base on the web. Anything can happen to your content (a site closes, files lost, files replaced, etc). it's so important to always have whatever you do on social media lead to and backed up on your own site/platform. it may seem like a bother, but you'll be thankful when something happens. I've lost too many great posts because I didn't save them or copy them to my own site. But I learned that lesson!

In any case, I can't wait to be able to listen to all of the podcasts!

Oh no! I wasn't even. Quarter of the way through the podcasts!

@Dr. Scott Benjamin I will be checking it out. Congratulations on self publishing. I've done five books already (not in real estate) and it is such a great feeling.

I was going to chime in and say the same things about having to be under a broker. But @Brandon M. thank you for sharing about 100% brokerage. I never heard of that. I did Google and find one in my area. I'm going to check it out.

I love that  always learn something here!

Hey everyone. Is anyone planning a meeting? I'd love to attend, especially after reading another member's success story in Atlanta. BP is so powerful and I want to make as many meaningful connections as possible. I'm down in Lake County but depending on location I'm willing to come out.

WOW!!! This is the kind of stuff I was looking for back a few years ago when I was in Atlanta. But I could never find a good quality group. So happy to hear about your success!

I'm brand new myself to investing. In fact so new I haven't done a deal yet. But I am currently in a real estate class to get my license. I did it mostly so I can learn the industry and for the tools everyone has mentioned. I haven't yet decided on a brokerage to work with but I have been interviewing. And I'm honest that I am also an aspiring investor. So far I haven't had any negative responses, and a few continue to check in to see how I'm doing with the class.

I'm looking forward to it because I plan to be fully immersed in real estate. I've asked on here and it's relatively split. Some say get it, it's helpful, while others feel it's a waste of time. I just followed my own heart. I'll give it at least two years (being an agent) to see how I like it. And as far as the continuing education, I'm actually looking forward to that.

Good luck to you.
