@Michael Noto   Thank you for your insight, as I was thinking about adding those contingencies, is there a resource here in CT where I can find more information on the legalities of rooming houses?

I'm looking to house hack a duplex here in CT with FHA, made a verbal offer on a property but after visiting it looks like it was converted to a rooming house/transient housing on MTM with no lease. The seller is not motivated.

I’m concerned that this may be a squatter situation

My question is what steps should I take to have to property vacated before I move in?

Is there a way to vet the tenants that already live in the property?

Hello all,

After renting for an embarrassingly long time, I’ve decided to look for a duplex to move my family in and rent out the 2nd unit, and to possibly refi once I’ve established some equity, I’ve already been prequalified for 130k, but are there any other rockstar lenders in the CT areas that understand the fha owner occupy strategy?

I have about 12 days left to get preapproved without my credit score being affected.
