O MAN @Dennis Jervier, Jr that would be frustrating. there must be a way for you to access YOUR equity in the property. ?? maybe an equity line that utililzes only your portion of the equity? or a loan that you both agree on, cause YOU WANT YOUR equity, not theirs but to access your money. IF i was you i would talk to an attorney. cause to me it seems you should be able to access your portion... and then YOU can invest in other properties if that is what YOU WANT without needing this person to invest in with you. the YOU CAN move on in which direction YOU want... and keep investing if it works that you can. :D best of luck to ya... there IS SOMETHING you CAN do.  (ITs "YOUR" equity- you must have some legal right to it.)

thanks Jeff. yes it is deff "reprogram" i will check that book out. My family for generations have and were stuck in the low station of life and way of thinking. I do know they have built into me the failure thoughts... and that invisible ceiling that that stops many from progressing much farther then they grew up in.  I WANT to be different and believe i CAN. I have already gotten farther then any of my immediate family... they are in the rat race of life and a slave for a boss. that's NOT For me... I have ALWAYS felt different since a young girl- i knew my thinking was different and I wanted to make a difference in this life.

@Michael Lee friends and family.

Its hard mostly when all i hear is negative about everything and not just business. Its those that have a cloud storm of dust over their heads whereever they go. I know for me i need to develop some positive connections and REAd daily some good teachings. I need to add positive into the pot so that all the negative does not outweigh the good, and drown out the candle.  I need "FRESH" air, daily.  and find ways to cut down on the negative words i hear.

words are like air or like darts. You can blow air into and give life; or the negative word can do damage and deflate the air out.  so i need to put myself around more postive and successful people who under stand the drive and thrill of the adventure of going this diferent route from the norm.

@David Dachtera i never thought of it that way. thanks for that perspective.

"Remember, the people around you don't know what you know. The way they live is the only way they know. By being an "aberration", by making yourself different from them you become perceived as having separated yourself from them.

Some folks will perceive you as misguided. They discourage you from following your dreams because "they care about you and want the best for you". Trouble is, of course, "the best" is a subjective judgement.

Others see you as having been duped by "the scammers". They discourage you because they think they are protecting you.

Others hear you talk about success and wealth and feel threatened by that - like you're somehow going to end up better than them, and they don't want that. D'ya ever hear the story about the crabs in a bucket? One crab alone in a bucket will try to escape. Two or more will pull back the one trying to escape. So, it's not unique to humans.

Some folks are negative about everything. There used to be character in a comic strip - I think it was Li'l Abner - who had his own private storm cloud over his head."

""It's lonely at the top" or on "the road less travelled" sort of explains pursuing success and leaving the people you know behind, in a way. There's plenty of us on that other road, and we need to form new relationships with like-minded people to replace the relationships we may need to step away from while we grow and travel onward. The old relationships don't support us the way we need. Our new relationships lead us and accompany us onto our new destinations."

thanks DAvid crabs in a bucket- they dont want you to escape.. and those who carry storm clouds.. boy dont I KNOW about them. so i can understand having to form new friendships and connection with like minded. This group at BIggerPOckets is a great source to make contacts. Now i just need to find a local REI group that meets face to face. Iknow there used to be one in a local city.

thanks @Manolo D. :) "Most people are stuck in a cubicle until they retire, it is called crab mentality when people pull you down when trying to make a difference for yourself. I say aim higher every time they pull you down, at least if you miss, you are still on the higher part of your target."

CRAB MENTALITY... trying to pull you back down.

@Account Closed thank you for that advice. i never thought of that end... let alone people asking me for advice; and money. :D as for the rest of... i also like what you said about the negative quits down "It's funny how that negative pull quiets itself and replaces with people asking for advice-wondering how you did it. How you created this new, more abundant life" that is just it isnt it... when you can develop some positive sources and "feel" successful then the negative doesnt have such an impact.

Hope you had a happy thanksgiving too.

thank you @Jim Keller. i appreciate that. Ya know ever since i was a teen i used to draw 3d drawings of places/ realestate and invisioning what could be. I could look at aplace and see it in a better lite. I love taking the less traveled road in life..

I often hear people tell me, get a REAL job.

but "WHY  would i when i can make what they make in min wage yr income, in two-four months. that would be stupid. i like taking the less traveled road in life. I have a few things on the burner right now. I have a wild plant business that i am pushing to a new level. and i have a pc of land that i am developing on paper and talking with town to see what i CAN do with my land. But i invision a tiny house community for short term housing near the hopsital. I can see it being a place of respite in the woods. I find so much peace out in the wild and i want to develop this place that gives it back.

right now i am engulfed in business of moving my plant business into the next step of INC into and LLC. and buying a small chunk of land with wild product on it.

then i am looking at trying to develop an organic farm land that is near this pc of land for the wild food.

anyway.. i have three things on the burner.  The plant business is moving forward... but i have to say that my other half is always stressed over the money. I dont bring in steady but i do have ways to "legally" make money. I have ways of finding creative funds...  most of the time he is supportive but there are days his negativity weighs me down. I hope one day that he will "SEE" it work and get to reap the benifits; and maybe some of that negativity will subside. (sigh) It is so hard hearing it on the homefront... (he does see the plant business as being successful. thats a plus) but he is just negative in life in general; and the cup is always near empty.

the goal is to be INC into LLC by the first of year, and open a webpage, buy that pc of land with 100,000 # +/- of product. Personally mortgage the farm land i want to develop... and in the mean time i am trying to slowing pull together ideas and things for the VR tiny home development.

its what i LOVE to do... dream, think, pull together a vision. It is only of late that i have determined that "ITs in my hands and i need to take a hold of it." I am working and making a living.. i DO have a job and so i have been putting my all into it. i am not getting any younger.  sorry i went on...

You are blessed to have your support and a wife who now is coming around.
