that is awesome @Jay Hinrichs. still every amount counted and you did great to put her  through college.  It was a great gift to her that is paying her dividends the rest of her life. For her it is working great and with no debt load. She would still be paying on that.

thank you very much @Josue Guerrero " (Can you tell I've heard this once or twice before? :] ) Sadly, we live in a society where we've been molded to believe that the path to a successful life is to go college, and then work at some 9 - 5 job for most of your life, and then retire at 65. Doing anything else is seen as extreme, or crazy and will guarantee you criticism from people who don't understand why it is that you're doing what you're doing. You sound like you know what it is you want from life, Annette. Keep doing what you're doing and I have no doubt that you'll go far! "

:D I  deff agree with ya there about the molded society. I have never fit in but i have to accept I "AM' different and thats ok, cause when it comes down to you I am not so alone. Look at all of us here. :D GReat encouragment.

@Account Closed i keep going back to something you said, "What is holding you back from scaling up your wild food business? I would focus on scaling up your wild food biz to generate income. Then I would use the income and money to finance and build the executive cabins. Kill two birds with one stone."

this morning I thought on that. That is a great word of advice., i need to put more energy into that, and then I can kill two birds with one stone. I need to make it ligit and market it as it would more then quadruple the funds it creates.

A pc of land has opened up to me and part of it is a HUGE profitable wild food or wild Ramps and fiddleheads that if i own it I could really expand my business to web sales. One month could literally bring in 100K with marketing.  they are letting me buy it for $25,000. (If i can find a way to finance.) I do believe i can aquire a business loan as it would be an asset.

anyway, Minh I appreciated that direction.

My quote, "It is the obvious one, why get a "real" job when i have a business. "

Its working for me so I don't need a REAL job. ;D

I'm not yet making what I would like to, but that will come with effort. thank you.

wow @Karyn T. what a burdain to carry. You do amazing to keep moving forward.  :D thanks for your honesty and great encouragment. (I do have some small college debt- but very minimal compared to yours.)

thankfully there are some parents out there that can remove that burden @Jay Hinrichs and @Linda Weygant :)

I still am not a believer that all studants should do the college route, especially those that HAVE to go into great debt to do it. It adds so much stress and takes away all the joys of life- cause of enslavement to debt. :( Life is short and if more pursued what we like- our  ideas-invented, talents... where would we be? our nation might not be so indebted itself.

i mean yeah sure if it wasn't for workers- but then "some" people enjoy these jobs. Kuddo's to them- they are doing what they like and not chasing after riches. So i dont fault them either- they ARE enjoying their lives, and I guess that IS the whole point. Do what you enjoy, and like what you do- and Life is good.

for some of us, that is the pursuit of a great find.. or taking a place and seeing its potential and bringing it back to full form, or juggling a dozen things at once.

Keep it up- Love what you do and Do what YOU love. :D the best to everybody in their adventures.  I can't say it enough this group inspires me.

Hey @Ray Jimenez i hear ya. my family is my greatest nay sayers, but in another breath i have gained two that are not laughing so much.  It's hard for others to understand this way of thinking, isn't it? the best you can do is find like minded people and talk to them about it, and just talk to those who understand and dont squash your dreams.

Here is an awesome site to see others who are doing it and its a great place to brainstorm and bounce of others- of like mind. there is so much info on this site to consumer. learn. and keep going forward. the only direction.

Hey @Jerry W. no more to say? ;) I do agree with you that sometimes and for a time a job, a "real' job lol, is actually a great thing to give cash flow to invest. You have done well, and i bet if you "really" wanted to you could quit your day job- your "real" job but you enjoy the benifits of it. :)

@Linda Weygant what a great gift from your parents- it gave you freedom of choice, and money choices too. Your children are lucky that you can offer that. what a blessing to have a child work along side you. You are loved.

"You were given an awesome gift of education without that debt tied to it."
