How to negotiate RE acquisition specialist compensation

Hi everyone!

I recently received an offer letter to start helping a local wholesaling company with acquisitions. What would be a reasonable commission to negotiate? Could I negotiate base pay? This company just started at the beginning of the year and I will be the third addition as an IC. They’ve offered 10% commission on any deal I have a part in procuring and no base pay. Any help or advice from seasoned investors would be highly appreciated as I have to make a decision soon!!!! Thanks!!

@Marissa Turrubiates you should jump on this opportunity with both hands now, not tomorrow, before it's gone as you will regret the loss.

@Jerryll Noorden you misunderstood, short version is they feed her seller leads and all she does is reply, ask script questions, basically runs it through a pre-canned system provided to her to sort legitimate motivated sellers with profit potential vs bs tire kickers. No origination, no underwriting, no funding.

Marissa, short version is your very clueless and very unqualified to do real estate at this moment, so this is your entry point, the value is in what you will be learning not what you will be earning.

If you do well, within 12 months you will know 90% of how they do everything, and would be ready to strike out on your own if so desired.

The other replies are assuming way too much, I am taking things exactly as you stated them. Origination is 75% of a deal, anyone who says different is either a liar or not doing REI. I could literally give out my originated deals all day for 20-25%, no problem, never speaking 1 word with anyone, that's the value of a raw lead. Now add on that the will also do the entire back half, in short your just a researcher. This won't last long, once they get established they will recruit licensed agents and then it's over for a non licensed person like yourself.
