Mentor ship wholesaling real estate

Hi

I have some money saved that I need to invest in real estate but I’m not sure where to start from because I’m scared to loosing my money. I have been learning a bit about real estate investor but I’m not very confident to actually start. I set out a goal to buy my first property this year but I haven’t made the move yet. Is anyone here in Savannah GA or close by who I can mentor me about the ins and outs of investing? I need to invest the money instead of sitting in a bank. All advice will be appreciated.
