How do you go from Acquisition to Sale?

A am new to wholesaling and am still in the research phase before I step foot out into my neighborhood. There is one big question that remains on my mind as I scour BP for advice and information on wholesaling.

Without a history of end-buyers - how does one safely transition from finding a property and securing a contract to finding an end -buyer?

A bigger question I suppose is: What kind of timeframe does one have between securing a property and connecting it to an end-buyer?

Being new, I do not have any relationships with buyers yet and I do not want to go scouting for properties without someone to potentially buy it. Is it backward to seek the buyers first?
