Drive for dollars or direct mail?
Hey everyone!
Just as an initial disclosure, if I'm beating a dead horse, please forgive me. With that being said, my questions directly pertain to my unique situation currently at hand.
Long story short, I lost my job last week.It was my main source of income, considering I usually don't have much time to work as a Realtor. As a result, I'm finished procrastinating and ready to hit the ground on with wholesaling. I have about $1,500 cash to work with for either driving or direct mailing expenses (even though $1,500 in direct mailing is chump change).
My question to those of you who have attempted both is; what do you advise that I do? With $1,500 I can purchase a good amount of very specific leads, but can't afford to have the same amount of leads mailed out to via yellow letters. Do I purchase less amount of leads and just drive for dollars to compensate or do I solely launch a small mailing campaign?
Any tips are greatly appreciated!
Thanks friends!

It looks like you now have more time on your hands. I would not buy any lists as they are well shopped and typically old data. It is best to go to the source of where they get their info. I go after probates, code enforcement, power of attorney, lis pendins, etc and I go directly to the county websites to get this info. It is fresh and directly from the source. And the best part it is FREE because you go to these websites and get the data yourself. I also do driving for dollars which the only cost is gas.
Then when you get the data on the property and the owners I call them or either send them a letter.
