How to get started in wholesaling

Hello BP family, my wife and I currently reside in the Atlanta area. We are looking to get in wholesaling, but don't know exactly how to get started. I've been looking at YouTube videos of Jay Morrison, Mark Whitten, and Antonio Edwards about the basics, but I need more in depth info. When I try to look more into it they are asking for large lump sums of money for them to give you the more in depth info. Is there a way I can find out how I can get started without paying big money out to these so called gurus?

I agree with @Chris Boyd, start here. There is no better source of information than BP. Check out the Podcast hosted by Josh and Brandon; tons of helpful info. Many podcast specialize in Wholesaling (from getting started, mail campaigns, negotiations and much more).

I would also suggest taking the advice of Michael Quarles and find someone in your area who is successful in the area of Real Estate Investing you are interested in and work for them either analyzing deals, assessing properties or whatever they may need. Best way to learn is to start doing, not by paying for free info.

Like Josh and Brandon say repeatedly on the podcast, don't spend your start-up money paying some guru for info on how to do it, that won't get you any closer to your goal. Instead, use it to start a mail campaign, buy a property, buy business cards, put gas in your car to drive for dollars, buy bandit signs (if usable in your area). Just do something with it other than give it away.

Or, you can always pay me for this information which is probably more than what you would get from some Jack-In-The-Box Guru Course. I'll gladly take some money if you are just going to be giving it away.

Move forward, not sideways. Best of luck to you!
