EDUCATION - What is the best course/book to learn from or read before making any moves? 

MARKETING - Whats the best marketing strategy? Door-knocking? Advertising? Mailers? Website? Phone Calls?

Forget YouTube! Use analysis, use honor, use transparency, and use logic.

Forget cold calling, driving for dollars and do what the big boys do that are successful and credible, like Elon musk and tesla

Apple, Nike, Coca-Cola, Ray ban.. they have WEBSITES!

They do Facebook marketing, PPC.

They use their GOOD name as a BRAND and they fall back on that good name reputation to make deals and get clients.,

Glad you asked. You do ethical business, you help your clients, you become successful., THAT is how you get a good name.

Cold calling? How many people do you piss the hell off before you make ONE deal? NO answer!! ANSWER ME gadamit... thought so

Want to start a wholesaling business? Heck , want to start ANY business... you focus on providing the best service to your ideal audience! THAT is how you do it. Focus on HOW can I help an audience.... then focus on how you can monetize that help you give your audience... and then focus on how can you be the best at it, and then fopcus on how can you offer the best service... the money will follow, I promise you that!

So you answer your questions:

Education:

Figure out first the people that are successful, then figure out how they became successful, then think on your own and evaluate if that what they did makes logical sense and if it is to your ethical standards.

Marketing:

SEO, Facebook ads, Youtube ads, Social media engagement, offer free value (see... like what I am doing here on BP) HANDS DOWN!

See again... never just say something and turn that as a factual statement. Proof, numbers data evidence.. I really wish people started doing that. I ALWAYS back up EVERYTHING I say or claim with evidence, numbers data.

So lesson learned here is that saying "cold calling works best" is now proven to be wrong right?

The correct statement is: "My PREFERENCE is cold calling". NOT Cold calling works best. See what I mean? You give mere opinion (and your opinion is factually wrong), and you steer him the wrong way just because you claim it to be fact (while it very much isn't). Never do that!
