I’m sure this subject been mentioned but was wondering if there is any updates on smartlocks. I’m an out of state property owner and was wondering what investors are using. I know wifi is needed for most smart locks, is there any ways around needing only wifi?

Would love to hear what you’re using or what works for you.

I use yale which requires Wifi. Some lessons learned

1. Sometimes it needs to be reset

2. It doesn't sync perfectly with Airbnb so sometimes my clients dont get codes

3. Batteries last 6-8 months with regular use

4. Get the lock that also has a hole for a physical key  and then have a good ole fashion lockbox with the key in it as a back up

Example of yale with key

Dont get one like this without a key

GOOD LUCK!
