Returned Yellow Letters

I have had several yellow letters returned to me from the post office stating VACANT, UTF or says Nothing. What should my next move be? Is there some other way of reaching the owner? Could I find out if the owner is deceased and maybe there is an executor? Do I just forget and move on?

Hey Louise, I don't think it's a bad question probably just bad placement. You posted under "starting out", I think you'd get more response if it was under "marketing" since that's likely where the marketing guys will look to respond to posts.

So as far as what to do with your leads. I'm not a marketing guy, but have heard in the past that following up with these leads can be better because everyone else is getting their mail returned as well. So if you can reach out to the owner you may be the only contact that they have. I'd say try a skip trace for the owner and see what you come up with. Hope that helps and maybe some of the actual direct mail guys will see this and chime in.
