Turn your own handwriting into a font

So I'm putting together my first yellow letter campaign, and I know I need to handwrite the addresses on the envelopes for maximum open rate, however the handwriting font I would be using on the letters wouldn't match.  The perfectionist marketer in me thought, "How do I turn my own handwriting into a font?", so that the writing on the letters would match the writing on the envelopes, and offer maximum authenticity.

I found this website: http://www.fontifier.com/  Download the template, write letters in the boxes in your own handwriting, scan it, and pay $9 to get your very own font.  Quality is pretty good and having a font of your own handwriting, which can save you hours of actually writing, is priceless.

(disclaimer - this is not an ad and I have no affiliation with them, just spreading some marketing excitement).

What I used to do when writing my own yellow letters is take a blank white page of paper, over lay it on the yellow note pad so you can see the lines, and write on the white piece of paper with the red sharpie, then scan the page, and stuff the printer with yellow lined paper ( i just ripped it off the pad, later started buying non glued yellow pages).

Just an idea, worked for me, would save you $9.

Although this would be great for the envelopes, using a mail merge.
