Want some buying my next property

Hey guy I'm new to investing. I already have a house and I'm looking to invest in real estate. I live in New York city but prices are too expensive. Can someone out there give me some advise. Like what state to buy my next property. Should I stick with new York or someplace else?

I love Columbus, Ohio. It is a strong market to invest in for both SFH and MFH. With so much growth over the past several years making it the fastest growing city in Ohio. It has cashflow as well as great appreciation. Intel just announced a 20+ Billion dollar project. We are projected for phenomenal growth over the next 10+ years.
