Am I being scammed, or is this legit?
Hey there!
I am a new property owner of a condo in Destin FL. I decided to list my rental property as a long term rental for the off season, and a short term rental for the on season (I'm only doing this for the first year, and then I will be doing STR year round). I was contacted by a person through Zillow who works for a "$20 Million Dollar commercial maintenance and construction services provider for clients like Comcast, Wells Fargo and White Wilson Medical." He said that he needs to find a 6 month rental for two executives that travel to Destin for work frequently. He just contacted me today and he said he would like the lease to start on the 15th of this month.
My questions are, is this a scam? And is there anything that I should be doing to confirm the situation is as he says it is.
Zillow did a “background check”, and it was good.
Any feedback is appreciated.

@Emily Jordan - Sounds like you have a great realtor that was able to get you a cash flowing asset in both the LTR and STR worlds ;)
Scams are always a concern in the rental world. You could always run your own background check. There are plenty of sites out there to help you out. I know Cozy.co is a popular one for a lot of long term rental managers. Beyond that, you can ask them for their credentials and follow-up with any referrals or past hosts that they've used. Doing that should give you the warm fuzzy you need to press forward.
Best of luck!
