Philadelphia BP'er going to first DIG meeting, anybody want to come?

Question

I'm going to the below event, anyone from Philly want to ride up with me? It's my first time going to a DIG meeting and this one happens to be a trade show that's free to get in. Anyone from BP looking to go I'd love to have a partner in crime (or 10) to wander the aisles with! Let's get a Philly contigent together. See you there!!!

So, let's list who REALLY did show up.  Since I was there, sporting my BP T-shirt, I will list those that I saw.

@Daniel Fisher was there.  For those of you who had some excuse, Daniel came to the meeting by train - about a 2 hour trip in one direction based on what he has told me.  So he did about 4 hours of round trip commuting to be there. I give him lots of credit for that sort of effort - very admirable IMO.

@Jeremy Ricci was there.

@Daniel Fisher - some people come up with the excuse that it's not convenient for not going to meetings or doing things.  your trip certainly doesn't seem convenient, yet you recognized that it would be worth doing despite not being so convenient.  that's an example others should try to follow IMO.

@Troy Sheets - the toilet bowl that kept clogging was broken open to see what was lurking in the trap.  It turned out to be a small pill bottle.

There were two lenders there that are worth looking into ...  one for rentals, the other for either rentals or rehab flips (construction type loans).  PM me and I will give their contact info.

@Steve Babiak this was a meeting I didn't want to miss. Also, if I'm riding the train I get to catch up on some bookwork. Lol so I was able to gain in more ways than 1.

It was a pleasure meeting you again. I also did get to speak with Dave Van Horn and Don Rotanz. And many others.

As it always is when you are at DIG, you are in great company.

No sales gimmicks @Steve Babiak , the exhibitors were great, I picked up some brochures from several that were interesting (Kwiksets landlord locks, HD's smartphone app looks amazing). The best part was the free seminars, great stories and Q&A by people that are practicing what they preach every day. Jim Bennett was great, he kept going well past his allotted time, I finally bailed after 9:15 or so, it'd been a long day for me at that point! What did they find in the toilet, I must've left by that time?

Glad that you made it and found it worthwhile and not just a sales gimmick.  Hopefully you found some of the vendors as potential future service providers for you.

Don Beck is doing a full day training event in mid-September; you might find that worth attending.  He will probably offer his lease for sale then too :)

Rich Heller is the 1031 exchange expert - I'm surprised nobody hit him on anything regarding a 1031 exchange.  I'm not surprised he had to filed lots of "asset protection" related questions.

I actually listened to part of Jim Bennett's presentation.  I was amused by what they found in the tenant's toilet that kept getting clogged.

I was there, walked the expo then basically never left the seminar room I started in. Listened to Don Beck, then Rich Heller, followed by somebody Bennett of Stonhedge Funding. All were AWESOME!! I'm going to buy Don Becks lease, I was thoroughly impressed by him. Mr. Heller was great as well but the whole hour plus was mainly focused on LLC's, then Mr. Bennett was amazing, he's got flipping down to a science.
