Mobile Home Park Boot Camp

I haven't been able to find any information about the boot camp put on by Frank Rolfe and Dave Reynolds around mobile home park investing. I've been talking to an owner of a small park and it looks like a good investment. I know owning a MHP is much different than my SFH rentals, so I'm looking to get educated. Frank & Dave are clearly the experts in this field, but wondering if their training is worthwhile.

Does anyone have feedback about this boot camp? I'd greatly appreciate it.

I attended the camp in Denver in July and thought it was excellent. You'll receive a thumb-drive with their analytical spreadsheets and all their contracts, offers etc. That alone was almost worth it. Frank and Dave also provide ongoing education, weekly conference calls and a lot of overall support. It's not cheap, but I'm confident I'm further up the learning curve and will likely avoid a future error that would have cost me way more than the tuition.

Wondering if anyone else has feedback on the boot camp or any of their other CDs & products.

I've met with Dave Reynolds a couple times. He knows his stuff. Not just the fundamentals, but creative acquisition and forced appreciation techniques.

Ben, are you planning on buying a MHP?

I forgot to say that Frank Rolfe has blogged here at BP actively a few years ago. Search on his name under member blogs.

hi Jon
I've read his blogs here and other places. I haven't seen anyone else that really is an expert in MHPs.

Ben Reese I've heard about other bootcamps, not Frank & Dave. Most of what I have heard is they are basically sales pitches for more expensive products and programs. Was this anything like that? Or do you get more than a $2000 pitch?

Hi Bryan,

Believe it or not, there was no sales pitch. I think Frank and Dave view their Boot Camps as a way to expand their network. Frank mentioned to me they find a lot of deals through their graduates as oftentimes a deal is too large for the individual and Frank and Dave will partner with the grad to make an otherwise good deal happen.

I attended the event in Orlando recently and it was packed full of content; all content, no sales pitch. If you buy the Boot Camp package, you pretty much get every product they sell and then the follow on weekly calls. They have a very specific formula and criteria for buying/fixing holding of flipping parks that may or may not work for your plans. They've honed their process over years and you'll probably only be able to absorb a small portion of what it taught so take a good inventory of what YOUR goals are in this area.

Personally I think MHPs are one of the best areas to invest in but it's a business like any other area. Good Luck!

I have never attended one of their boot camps, but I did purchase their Mobile Home Park course. I've decided it's not for me, so if anyone would like to take it off my hands, send me a PM.

Thanks,

Lynn

I attended the boot camp in Atlanta several years ago. Great info! I also recommend their home study course, and 30 days of DD. They are having a boot camp in NC in September 2014 I believe.
