Advice on protesting my property value

I posted this in another forum but I figured some of you in Tarrant county are dealing with the same issue:

I'm a first time homeowner as of last year and I'm wanting to protest my property's appraisal value. I pulled some comps on my home and they pretty much got the right value in my opinion. Has anybody here successfully negotiated down their property value and do you have advice for me on how to accomplish this? Thanks.

I was wondering the same thing. But then property values have gone up so I don't know what ammo I have.
