Note Investing Sourcing Strategy

My Note Sourcing Strategy that I’ve refined over the years is a simple one.  Implementing it over the course of time through a set of daily rituals is the challenging part.

My strategy in a nut shell is:

  • Mind Mapping the flow
  • Create a Massive Action Plan
  • Develop my identity
  • Build my brand
  • Seller outreach using an outreach matrix and tracking results
  • Attending conferences
  • Be in a position to close when the opportunity presents itself

What is your strategy or how does it differ from mine?

I've had a lot of success connecting with asset managers on LinkedIn. Conferences and meetups are also good, I try to meet as many people as possible and let them know what I am looking for. Usually the person you're talking to isn't going to be a source, but occasionally they can introduce you to someone who is.  The thing to remember is developing sources is a long term thing, its not something you just do once and then check the box. I basically try to act like a truffle pig....
