Sheriff sale is on Friday!

Hi,
This Friday is our sheriff sale and I just closed on my last house so my money is available. My lawyer said there isn't enough time for a title search(or he didn't want to do it). There is a house that I'm interested in. Do I find another lawyer to do the title search or try to do it myself or wait for the next sheriff sale? Is it worth the risk?

Who is the lender, they may make their last title search (just before foreclosure) available to a buyer. Call the trustee conducting the sale and ask for title or who did the search and contact them to search for you. Or, call a title company, it usually takes hours or less to search.

Good luck.... :)
