Flooring suggestion ? Luxury Vinyl Tile vs Laminate

I have seen that LVT or luxury vinyl planks are being heavily promoted over regular Floating/laminate flooring.

Home depot has their own brand and also have a type that has glue strips to stick it together and another type with just an interlocking mechanism that they say it is water proof vs water resistant.

If you have a preference when choosing the home depot choices (glue vs interlocking) which one do you recommend.

And do you feel the LVT is superior to laminate ?

Need to make this purchase this week so thanks for your suggestions.

We use exclusively the click lock Home depot flooring.  We use the same color in every house.  This is it.

It looks really great with repose gray walls and bright white trim.   I had a piece of it and a piece of laminate in the back of my truck for over 6 months, the vinyl looked brand new, the laminate was in pretty bad shape.  Scratched and swollen from the rain.
