Vinyl plank flooring thickness?

Hi everyone,

What ideal thickness do you buy for your vinyl plank flooring (e.g. Traffic Master Allure or similar brand)? This will be for a 4-plex rehab. I see some less than 1mm thick but still rated for 20yrs. Just wondering what would be ideal middle ground as I really don't want to cheap out and also this is at best a B- neighborhood. I haven't bought it yet, just putting together rehab and capEx numbers to make a close to accurate offer. Thanks for your help!

1/8'' is standard (3mm) for glue down planks, but is on the thin side for floating planks. I'm a flooring installer by trade, if you have any questions feel free to ask. I don't have much to offer in the way of REI advice (I'm here to learn!) but I can tell you just about anything to do with floors.
