Hello, guys. I'm planning to buy a house and want to add some extra spaces on it ( like connect the yard or add a bedroom). Just wondering do I need official files or permits form the government. Or I can just build it any times I want? Thank you!

You will probably need permits possibly an engineer. You can ask for free what you will need at your city/county permit department.
