Is Eviction ban over in the Indianapolis area?

The tenants in my property (Indianapolis, 46241) stopped paying rent last month and told me he will not pay rent any longer until he gets money from the tax return. I have little confidence he will pay me in a couple of months. Can we file an eviction with the court now? Is the ban over?

Has anybody done any eviction lately? How did you do it?

I appreciate any shared experience and comments.

Thanks.

Lei

@Lei L. as @Alex McIvor mentioned, the Federal CDC moratorium has been extended through March 31. This is where good property managers are so important. A good PM will know all the in's and out's of the moratorium and they should also be familiar with potential rental assistance programs. Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority has some rental assistance programs available that they should know about and steer tenants that are having trouble making their rent payments. We have had very little increase in late rents or evictions in Indianapolis and Kansas City because our PM's are well informed and are working with tenants.
