I have been struggling with waking up at 430 am in the last 2 weeks. I keep on pressing the snooze button. I think my mind is doing this because people have been complimenting me for the 3 SFH I own and the action I have been taking to get my first apartment deal. I will remind my brain that there are people things on a bigger scale in real estate. I will remind my brain that I still haven't reached my goal of closing on an apartment deal this year. I will remind my brain that there is only 4 months left in the year. I will remind my brain that my family and community is depending on me. There are kids looking up to me. Every time I press the snooze button I am not being a good role model to the youth , cheating myself, and going against god's plan for me.

Where are you guys slacking in your journey? What are you doing about it?

@Jason Malabute Change your circle. If you getting complimented on your successes, perhaps its time to move to bigger pond or maybe even an ocean. :) I find surrounding myself with those who are where I want to be or who have have achieved a higher level of success, keeps the hunger alive.

However, we all have the challenges and nothing is constant in life. If it were, we would master it eventually and the challenge would lose its interest. Its in the ebb and flow, the change of motivation/goals, the successes/failures that keep it all interesting. So its the enjoyment of the lulls as well as the highs or re ignition of goals to be appreciated.

One challenge for me is, i now have a two year old who wakes up at 5 am. There goes my 430, miracle morning, as I let my wife sleep in. I have maybe 30 minutes for stretching, affirmations and journaling before hes up. So meditation, exercise, let alone real estate early tasks become difficult where they used to be common place for me at those times. Then I have the W-2 to jump into.

However, I adapt by time blocking other times throughout the day to ensure those items get the priority they deserve. Time block, time block, time block. I am a big time blocker. Free to Focus by Michael Hyatt is a great guide for doing this. If it isn't scheduled, it won't get done. And if it isn't time blocked it will be overrun by the day.
