So what is your day job? (If you still have one)

I've seen a few posts about people achieving success to the level at which point they can quit their day jobs (I wish all of us could be so fortunate); but for those of you still slugging away, what do you do for work?

I'm currently a hospital Operations Manager (non-clinical/ support services departments).

Dean,

I'm one of those fortunate individuals who was able to escape the rat race. All thanks to my wife for believing in me and allowing me to follow my passion.

I'm embarrassed to call myself a full-time investor as I don't do anything most of the time. I would only jump when there are deals. I spend a lot of my time helping others and giving back.

I just received a Christmas card, a box of Luxury Belgian Chocolates and a $100 Starbucks gift card from one of my mentees as shown below. I've been mentoring him for almost 2.5 years now. He cleared about $300k in 2014 and $475k this year from his flips. He now owns 6 rentals worth about $950k, and they gross $7,800/month. He's 30 years old and only has a 6th grade education.

All I can say is that I've gone several extra miles to help him achieve his goal. I saw the potential in this kid when I met and talked to him. He just has that burning desire in his eyes. I'm so glad I gave this kid a lot of my time and attention when he first started out.

He left me a 1 minute and 31 seconds voicemail this morning. I guess he couldn't express everything in his Christmas card. There must be at least 10 thank you in that voicemail. I let my wife listen to it, and it put a smile on her face.

My next goal is much bigger. I'll share it when I get there. I don't want to jinx it by saying it too soon. My partner says I have good karma. It seems like good things always happen to me. I guess the saying "help others get what they want, and you will achieve everything you've ever wanted" has some merit to it.

Merry Christmas to all.
