How to pitch the Idea of leaving college to a parent?
Hello I am pretty young and I am a college student, but I feel like I am wasting my time. When I am passionate about something i put all my effort into learning it and I tend to learn a pretty decent amount on my own. In college however I had one motivating factor for going to college and that was to move to japan (because its freaking hard to live there long term w/o a degree). Ive since learned that I can just invest in the country and qualify for a long term visa that way (there are a few other things required) so my motivation to stay in school has kind of died down.
and I am considering leaving school and focusing on my job and beginning my real estate investing career (I'm actually buying an absentee owners list this week with my paycheck)... My semester is almost over and I know my parents cant really stop me from doing it, but I also want them to understand that if I do jump ship it is not to fool around. I want to build something and accomplish my goals. So yeah how would you recommend i break the news if i do decide to go that route
