Newbie... Would love to make some connections in ATL
Hey Guys!
I think this is the right spot to post this. I'm a newbie to REI (did 2 deals 5-6 years ago and did good) and to the site, but I love it. It's like a gold mine of information. I live in the Grant Park area of Atlanta and would love to make some connections. I'm a solo practitioner attorney, and dying to get into REI. Feel like I'm drawn to buying rentals and holding, but certainly open to anything that's a good investment. Would love to meet wholesalers, birddogs, other B&H's, and anyone that loves the business here in Atlanta.

@James Paisley Welcome Jim! You've come to a great place to meet like minded investors. You will find a good number of very astute Atlanta real estate investors on this site and all I've met are very helpful for those of us starting out. Good luck!
Welcome indeed. Would be interesting in connecting with you to chat about what you have in mind.

Good morning guys,
I am also new to REI. I live in the burbs of Atlanta and my husband and I would like to get started in REI anywhere in the Atlanta Metro. I am a practicing physician but really bad business deal last year wiped us out (don't do business with friends and family) so now we have to start over. Real estate has always been an interest of ours, so this is the natural next step. I would love to connect with anyone working locally who is willing to share their knowledge and/or work with a newbie.

BP is full of useful resources such as forums and blogs. Welcome to the Bigger Pockets community-be sure to check out all the awesome BP blogs under “Learn.”
@James Paisley Welcome to BP! Glad to see another intown investor. I'm in Decatur and buy between here and Historic West End (aka the next Grant Park). :-)
As @David Begley mentioned, you'll find some great resources here with broad experience. You'll want to narrow your criteria so when the right deal comes along, you can make a confident, quick decision.
Best of luck!
Rick

Perhaps the three of us can grab a coffee soon - except the coffee I've owed Rick now for over a year has compounded to at least a lunch by now, maybe more....
Welcome to BP!! I'm a newbie as well, but I've learned a ton from BP. I'm working with a mentor here in Atl learning about wholesaling. If you guys ever grab that cup of coffee count me in. I'm looking to build as many relationships as possible in my area
Hey @James Paisley welcome back to the REI train! When you feel it in your soul, its for you.
BP is a huge vault of information and valuable connections, definitely use it as much as possible. As others have mentioned, local meetups are great to keep on your schedule as well.
The biggest lesson I have learned so far in this business is its all about consistent action. There is so much information to overload yourself with, so many gurus with the next best thing happening, and so many different changing variables that its hard to decide what's best for you.
First get clear on your personality, strengths and resources, then consistent action will teach you everything you need to know along the way.
Good luck on this wonderful journey. Hope to connect with you soon.
All,
Welcome to join us on Dec 17th for the end of the year networking event :-)
Wow, i am getting to this party very late. How has the past year treated you?
I am new to BP and looking to make connections as well.
To everyone else, i am very eager to learn and potentially work with some of you.
