New to Real Estate in Indiana and Texas
Hello, my name is Dinara!
I have invested in my very first investment property and I am learning a lot on the go. I am a Nuclear Engineering graduate student, and while I really love this field I am also looking for a way to become a professional real estate investor. I am currently interested in investing in Indiana and Texas, so any advice and suggestion is welcome. I will be glad to chat over zoom.
Welcome to BP! I'd suggest building a team if you're doing out of state investing. Find property managers, mortgage brokers or private lenders, insurance brokers, and contractors to help you with your properties and deals. I'm in Indianapolis. Feel free to connect and let me know if you need any help.
Welcome @Dinara E.! I think it's amazing that you already have an investment under your belt, and what better way to learn than just doing it.
If you don't mind me asking, what drew you to real estate investing? Seems like a pretty big switch from Nuclear Engineering to real estate!
I'm in Austin and would love to connect to chat further to help you research and dive in further!
Hi Dinara, welcome! i am from Indianapolis and would be glad to connect. I am married to an engineer and think that background will serve you well in analyzing deals. Just make sure you don't get analysis paralysis and surround yourself with a team that will help you with that.

Congrats on your first investment! Always happy to connect in the Indianapolis market - remote investing is tricky, but doesn't have to be. Indy is also a great market to make your dollars stretch - don't get discouraged as you are looking for deals, you'll need to break your prospecting areas down street-by-street and not zip codes or neighborhood class ratings.
Best of luck to you!
Hey @Dinara E.. Welcome to the site, and well done on the investment. I'm not in those markets at the moment, but happy to help where I can. Feel free to ask questions. Cheers.
thank you so much, @Lindel Smith, @Joshua Noth, @Gloria N Gear, @Alora Glaze, @Ash Fields. Did not to get so much support fromt he community.
