New guy from Atlanta, GA
Hello everyone, My name is Peter Bourne and I currently live in the greater Atlanta area. I am retired Navy and looking forward to my new career in real estate. I am really looking into wholesaling then moving to rentals once I get my cash-flow a little higher. I have the opportunity to attend a real estate school, but not sure which I should do. Do I get a real estate license or focus on something else that is more beneficial to my career path? Either way I am excited, ready to hit the ground running!

Watch Max Maxwell on YouTube. He does these SUPER informative videos about wholesaling. PS you don’t need a real estate license to wholesale!! 💪🏻
Hey Peter, Welcome to the BP community! Dmitriy gave you some great advice to start with, glad to have you here with us, SO much great information here!
Hey @Peter Bourne. Welcome to Bigger Pockets! If you want to be a Real Estate agent then yes of course, go get your license. If you want to Wholesale, don't waste your time or money to get a RE license. Check out the Wholesaling Inc podcast and consider joining their training program. You need at least 3-5 months budget for marketing saved up. Wholesaling takes consistency above all else. Best of luck to you.
@Marc Brenner Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it.
Welcome, Squid!
There is also a Meetup group the last Wednesday night of every month if you'd like to connect with some like-minded people.
