Intro- Getting ready to buy a multifamily property

Hi Everyone,

I've been lurking on here for awhile and figured it would be a good time to make an intro post. I just got off a deployment in the military and now with the capital I have and the VA home loan available to me, I feel confident I am ready to make my first REI. I'm currently going through the VA home loan pre approval stage, but once that is finished I'll be ready to hit the ground running searching for multifamily properties, 3-4 units, in Boston. Particularly the Dorchester to Roxbury Area, I'll be living in one of the units and would like the place to be somewhat close to where I'm going to school.

Would love to hear from anyone that has used the VA home loan before as well as anyone that has invested in multifamilies in Boston, that would be willing to share any Do's and Don'ts! Thank you in advance and I'm excited to be an active participant of this community!
