New Joiner Post - Nashville TN

Hey everyone! My husband and I recently graduated from grad school and moved to the Brentwood area in Nashville to pursue jobs! We have listened to a lot of the latest BP podcasts and are very keen on building passive income through rental properties. We are rigorously paying off student loans and expect to be done in about a year from now (April 2019, is our goal). We are reaching out to introduce ourselves and see if there are any local clubs or groups that you’d recommend we join. Any books we should be reading? We are in the very beginning stages of our careers and we don’t foresee having the time to do all the research. Ideally, we’d like to go in on properties with other investors that are willing to do the research. What do y’all think? We’re excited to be part of this group and learn from each other. Cheers!!

@Mona Barteau Welcome to BP Mona! Also congrats on graduating grad school, very huge accomplishment!  If you want to start networking with other investors and building connections I suggest joining REIN (Real Estate Investors of Nashville). They're a great way to start networking with like minded people and can benefit you in your investing career. Also suggest joining the facebook group of REIN.

As far as books, Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki is a great way to get you even more pumped about passive income. Thats the book that started it all for me.

Im a local Realtor for the Nashville area who specializes with investors. Give me a shout if you ever have any questions!
