Hello everyone. My name is Colin Rawlings. I’m in the Army and live here in San Antonio. I’m new to real estate investing and I’m extremely interested in learning about the various aspects of investing such as buying and flipping, rental properties and tax liens. I attended the brief 2-hour Than Merrill real estate investing class today and it sparked my interest even further.

Hi @Colin Rawlings welcome! Be careful with those seminars, I went to the free rich dad education seminar when I was first getting interested in real estate. The free seminar is a way to get you to pay for the weekend course for a few hundred. I did this, and did learn some. The weekend course is a sales pitch (while giving you some value, just enough to make you want to learn more) to spend thousands (tens of thousands) on more of their courses. There are success stories of people who have done this, I just wanted to make you aware of the situation.

All that being said, I did learn from the weekend course. But, I could have learned just as much from networking on here and at meetups. Which area of investing most interests you?
