My name is Dominic and I'm currently residing in Martinsburg, WV! My wife and I moved here from Front Royal, VA due to our expanding family.

When we did we turned that property into a single family rental and that's been going great for about three years. Neither of us had any experience in being a landlord, so we took to the internet and learned as much as possible in a very short time frame (about 3 or 4 months)!  The reason being is we already had tenants lined up that we found thru a friend and we were also actively purchasing our "new" home.

Well, that was three years ago and, while that property has been doing well, I've been itching to really get into investment properties. So, I've been gorging myself on education. Primarily here on BiggerPockets - readying the books and blogs, listening to both Podcasts, and glancing thru the forums. Everyone seems genuinely helpful!

My goals, like most, is to have financial freedom, but also to leave something for my children and their children, etc. But not just in "things", but also in knowledge and by setting an example of what's possible.

I'm sure this is a common intro, but I did want to say, "Hi!" and to get my name out there. I'm easy to get along with and I look forward to meeting the wonderful people on here, maybe even in person!

    Hi Dominic

We just held our first Berkeley County Investor Meetup last night and it was a huge success! We had more people than we planned. We plan to meet monthly to network and have a small presentation for educational value. Our Next meetup is 3/1/18 and I would highly recommend you come and network with us.. We had seasoned investors and new investors. We are really excited about the possibilities. I think Berkeley County is a great place to be an investor due to its growth and I plan to continue to build my rental portfolio here. Congrats on joining BP, I've learned so much here and the resources are invaluable.
