Hi! I’m Jen :) I’m in Macon Cty NC just west of Asheville. Currently, I’m a photographer. I have an amazing husband who supports all of my ambitions. (We actually just got married one month ago today!) And three great kids :) I’ve looked into real estate investing numerous times and never took the jump. My 30th birthday isn’t far away and I feel like I’m finally in a place mentally & emotionally to be able to make sound decisions and actually get started! I want to do rental investing - buy homes that are subpar, fix them up a bit and rent them out. The BRRRR strategy. I just finished reading The Book on Rental Property Investing which was super insightful! My next steps are to continue researching, work on building relationships, and learn as much as I absolutely can. Looking forward to meeting some great people!

Welcome to BP! I live in Asheville, and agree with other posts that this can be a tough market due to low inventory and massive appreciation. That said, there are still deals to be had. You have to be ready to move as soon as one comes up, and you have to make sure people know what you are trying to do. My last deal was an off market deal that was the result of networking.
