I have two flips underway in Charlotte, NC and need recommendations for a good hardwood finishing contractor. My GC has a reliable contractor, but I would like to get a few quotes before we proceed. Thanks for any suggestions. Justin

Goral,

I hope you are doing well.  A little outside 2 hours would still be fine.   I would prefer Charlotte as I am there often for business, but am exploring any option at this point. Let me know if you have any thoughts.  Thank you.

I am in the market for a self storage facility within a 2 hour radius of Asheville, NC.  I am ideally looking for a property with expansion capacity in a stable market.  It would be a cash purchase of up to $500,000.  While the purchasing power is limited for this type of investment, I know there are occasionally deals to be had in this price range.  Thank you for any leads or connections you may have.

Welcome to Asheville!  Send me a PM.  I can get you my contact info.  I have a great lender and broker I can share with you.  Sounds like Chris Harjes gave a great recommendation as well.  I also have a lot of subs I work with that I can pass along if needed.  Would love to connect and see how I can help.

Welcome to BP! I live in Asheville, and agree with other posts that this can be a tough market due to low inventory and massive appreciation. That said, there are still deals to be had. You have to be ready to move as soon as one comes up, and you have to make sure people know what you are trying to do. My last deal was an off market deal that was the result of networking. Good luck on the hunt!

Welcome Laura. Charlotte is a great market to be in for getting started. Lots of good opportunities just outside the city as well. Good luck!

Vanessa, Great to hear from you. Hope your move goes well, and welcome to Asheville. I have been in Asheville for almost 2 years. Asheville falls within Buncombe County, which has the strictest housing and code regulations, especially in regard to homestay and short term rentals. If you focus your search outside of the immediate city, I think you will find some great options. I live in Fletcher which is south Asheville, and it falls within Henderson County. Area is ever expanding and is close to everything. Even as far down as Hendersonville, you can find some great options. It all depends what market you are trying to reach with your property. Let me know if you have any questions, or need references for brokers or contractors. Happy to help any way I can.

Is it hooked up to a garbage disposal? If so, make sure disposal is not backed up. Also check your drain hose for crimping.

Congratulations on the new project Kyle. If you have secured land and obtained a permit from the city, you have conquered the two biggest hurdles for development in this area. I hope it goes well for you. West Asheville has gone through a huge transformation as you know, and I believe it is positioned for another wave of growth based on recent activity in that market. I think you will do well there.
