My intro + creating an LLC

Hey guys,

New to BP and loving it so far. I am in the process of creating an LLC and chomping at the bit to get things rolling.

Right now, I am focused on learning the legal, business and strategy aspects of REI. One question I have is on the location of my LLC. Due to work-related-travel, we call several places home throughout the duration of the year. In addition to that, I have family in New York and my fiance has family in Cincinatti.

Are we able to invest in properties in multiple states?  If so, is there any legal advice I could benefit from as we ensure our business plan, legal aspects are bulletproof?

Thanks!

Charley

Welcome aboard @Charles Thurber

You are putting the cart before the horse right now. What specific type of investing are you planning? If your looking at residential rental properties you don't need to worry about LLC's at this juncture you wouldn't be able to get a loan if you were going the LLC route.
