Hello Everyone,

First off.. been lurking and listening to podcasts for a while. Absolutely amazing community and and trove of information here.

Hi.. My name is Eric from San Diego. We're up in the Encinitas area.

I'm a successful internet entrepreneur that wants to take a chunck of my profit and turn it into a massive retirement via real estate using the BRRRR method.

Ive read Brandons book, The Book on Rental Property Investing and it was great. Listened to a bunch of podcasts.

I really want to get into investing in real estate. But I'm very busy building my business to boost my profits and don't have the time to wade through everything.

It makes more fiscal sense to spend the money to get the condensed version, then it does to take those countless hours away from work to learn bits and pieces here and there. I know because I've tried the bits and pieces method the past 8 months since I found BP and I still havent learned enough to jump in. What would be ideal is something similar to how an executive coach or mentor would teach you, but without the hype and BS of the online programs.

How do you guys recommend that I get started?

Really appreciate the help!

Eric

    Hello @Eric Gee

It would be awesome to get a coach or mentor; however, if you would like to stay away from that you can learn more by going to a meet up once a month that may take 2 hours out of your business hustle, or you can go to a one day seminar for real estate investing (this would give you a quick down and dirty look/knowledge base).

It is good to continue to read, listen to podcasts and meet up with one or two people a month that are in the business every day that can give you great insight on the business. I can tell you are limited, but if that cannot be done the alternative would be to hand over X amount of cash to an investor and let them invest it, but by the sounds of it you would want to be involved as much as possible.

    Eric,

I'm in North County if you want to meet up. If I can't help you, I'm sure I could point you in the right direction.

Hi @Eric Gee and @Jason L. I hang out in the Carlsbad area a lot, have some properties and a project going on there and live pretty close by, Let me know perhaps we can all meet for a coffee and brainstorm we can all learn something about each other.

    Hi @Eric Gee,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing your background. Taking that first step can always be a little daunting. But you're going about it the right way by educating yourself and networking with other real estate professionals.

I am a real estate investor, financial analyst, Realtor and property manager. I help my clients build and manage their rental income portfolios using a local network of contacts that can help with management, financing, exchange, design, improvements and much more.

Feel free to drop me a line or call any time. It will be great to meet up sometime. I'm usually around and available in the La Costa area.

    Thank you!

    Rod

@Eric Gee If you're limited with time, I would recommend partnering with an experienced investor. It's a great way to efficiently learn REI while minimizing your financial risk. A great place to find investors are the local REIA's throughout San Diego. Feel fee to message me for further info. Best of luck.

    Hey guys...

    Really appreciate all the info.

The blogs were a big help. Lots of condensed info for sure!

The meet and alerts helped too!

I started hitting local meetups as well.

@Jason L.  , @Account Closed I was thinking that partnering might be the way to go the first time.

    Cheers,

    Eric

    @Eric Gee

I agree you should join and attend local meetup to expand your network of active investors who are willing to impart wisdom to someone new in the game. Id also recommend reaching out to locals on BP and building a relationship with them
