Hi,
My name is Jeremy. I'm new to the bigger pockets community. I'm looking into real estate investing as a means to generate passive income for other ventures. I'm from around the Chicagoland area, and am wondering if Rockford is a good place to invest in Real estate? Hope to here from you soon.

Welcome @Jeremy Kolasa,
Rockford is a good place to buy and hold invest for cash flow but don't expect any appreciation. The inventory of move in ready homes is low so flipping is also an option if you are able to buy right and force the appreciation.
There is a group of local investors meeting for dinner on Dec 5. You can find the details under events or search for WIN DINNER MEETUP. https://www.biggerpockets.com/forums/521/topics/38...
Feel free to reach out to me for more info.
