Newbie Orlando, Florida

Hello Everyone,

I've been following bigger pockets for a few years. I believe it is finally for me to stop hiding behind the shadows and introduce myself. I am Newbie (Jonathan) in the Orlando, Florida market. I own one property which I currently have rented out (for only 1.5 years). Currently work for IT company in the Central Florida area and we service companies from around the world. I do have a real estate license that I don't really actively use.

My real estate goal is being able to provide  legacy for my family. To ensure if I am gone that my family is well taken care of financially. My short term goal is to own at least 10 rental properties within the next 8 years (I have 1 now 9 more to go) with positive cash flow (ideally free and clear). I also want to be able to decide when I want to go to work instead of being dictated when I should go to work.

Thank You All,

Jonathan

@Jonathan Ramos Welcome to BP and good luck to you in your new venture! Go to your local REIA and offer to help an investor who is successful in the area of REI that you are interested in in exchange for mentorship. They will let you know flat out what you can do to help them. Whether it's bringing them deals from the MLS or what not, THAT is how you will get your training. Happy investing!
