Wanting to invest while in school

Hey BP'ers

I am new to the community as well as to the RE world. I am currently at VCU studing Real estate, and I want to start investing some money. well there is just one big problem. Being in school as you know drains all of you money you might have saved up over the summer, so I have very little money that I could invest with. That being said what are some recommendations that I can do to invest the extra funds that I have, instead of letting it sit in my bank account.

thanks for the advice

What's up Chris. I'm also a college student balancing investing on the side. While its challenging to think about how you're going to break into real estate investing with little to no money,   you really don't need that much money to get started (it also depends what you're doing). If I were you I would try and start wholesaling real estate and use the money you have in your account to pay for the marketing. You don't really need money for the wholesale deals themselves but you will need to spend money on marketing so motivated sellers will actually start calling you. Just a thought...let me know how you make out!
