Client Relations Manager from Maryland
Hello everyone!
My name is Kim James and I am a newbie from Baltimore, Maryland. I have
no real estate experience other than buying my first home last year, which I live in. I am currently a Client Relations Manager in the international travel division for a large health insurance company. I am also 3 classes away from finishing my MBA. I would love to learn more about Real Estate Investing, and maybe start out wholesaling since I have no cash but do have a very flexible work schedule and a fare amount of free time. I found bigger pockets while surfing the internet for information on REI and I have been slowly working my way through the different articles posted here. I am looking forward to learning a lot and networking with others already involved or getting started in REI. :-)
Thanks!
Kim

Welcome to the BP Nation, Kim!
As you know, there is plenty here on this website (and for free, I may add) to help you get started. I would also suggest attending local REIAs and meetups. None are sponsored by BP but many BPers who are local do attend several. My personal favorite is the BWI Meetup (www.meetup.com/bwimeetup) which meets the 2nd Weds of the month - which means there is a meeting this coming Weds. The general session is always free, there will be a wholesaler speaking this Weds who is very experienced. Since you indicated that may be a way to get started for you, I suggest you check it out.
As for YOUR current job, I would love to hear more about that and the flexibility it provides if you don't mind PMing me!! Always looking for opportunities to integrate work with REI investing until I can do the latter full time.
Best to yo
