Newbie in Virginia

Hey Bigger Pockets,

Newbie from Fairfax, Virginia! I’m currently a 28 year old health professional, working full-time and want to get started investing in real estate. My limited exposure to real estate came through my parents’ investment in a condo in the Ballston area.

I went to school in Richmond and I see potential for good opportunities down there. I’m trying to take in as much information as possible by reading blogs, listening to podcasts and watching webinars. Looking forward to connecting with others on this journey!

Hello @Eric Yi,

Welcome to the BP, I see that you are located in Fairfax and just as @Jon Deavers stated this site has an abundance of valuable information just try not to overload :-). Virgina now has sub-forums that you can subscribe to a particular area like Richmond. These sub-forums are in its infancy stages now but they are really taking hold now that users realize that there are sub-forums pertaining to the State. Setting keywords are a great tool and way to alert you on whatever your interest are.

To get to Virgina/Richmond forums you can go to Forums then Forum Categories then scroll down to Real Estate Local and there you can see the States and their cities with sub-forums, I hope that I was of some help :-)
