Hello fellow investors, I am Diener, I live in Worcester MA, I am originally from the Boston area but relocated here in the last year. I have a beautiful wife and together we raise 3 great kids.  For years now I have been a fan of all the flipping shows on tv but it wasn't until I found BP that I thought it possible for me to be part of such community.  OK, so I have been on BP for a few months, read a couple books and blogs.  Now I think I'm finally ready to start doing something, except all my knowledge is theoretical.  So I was wondering about an intern like relationship with a local investor.  Someone I could follow around on a flip to gain some hands on experience in exchange for work.  Is this common or should I pursue a different approach?  Thanks in advance for any comments and help you are willing to give.

Hi Diener, welcome to BP.

This is a great place to learn. Make sure to listen to all the BP podcasts, read the articles on the main blog and be active in these forums to learn a ton very quickly about any topic in real estate you want to know more about.

This is also a great place to meet people that can be assets to your business. Lots of great connections all over but we also have a very strong and active contingent here in MA on here so make sure to find them (Set up some keyword alerts to find out about local topics) and get connected.

Besides doing that on here make sure to get out to some of the many local investor events we have.  Definitely make sure to hit the Black Diamond meeting in Worcester!  If you want to check out more stuff and come back out towards Boston there are tons of options from the Cape up to Manchester, NH and everything in between.
