New Investor with high hopes-Louisville area
Hey, Good evening,
I am a new investor in real estate. I do not own any properties at this time but looking to obtain as much information as possible right now. I have attended seminars and am currently enrolled on a online class with WCI. If anybody has tips or stories on how they obtained your first house on a low budget please share!!
Thanks, I'm excited for the future.
Ryan
Sorry can't give and tips (newbie too) but I can welcome you.
Welcome!!
It's great to have you here!
Hey Ryan,
I'm new to BP too, and also in Louisville. There seems to be tons of info on BP about starting out with a lean budget. I can't really add much to that but I'm happy to connect with you! I skipped single family and went straight to multi. PM me if you want to talk more. Best wishes as you get rolling!
John

You came to the right place to gather information. Lots of different views and strategies. The first purchase is not really as important to have a big game plan but if you find yourself shopping for another, you might want to write down your short and long term goals. In Lexington I found that town homes were pretty cheap and I could get good rent returns. Much better than a house. The great advantage about a sfh (single family home). Is if you want to sell it. You have a very big market. Multi family homes are good but cost more. I purchased a duplex once. Moved in one side and rented the other. Was great way to subsidize your living expense. Just some things to think about. Good luck
Hey Ryan, from one rookie to another, welcome to the team! I've only been using the site for a few short weeks and I've already found so much helpful info. I'm sure you are already finding that out as well.
I look forward to working alongside you and the other helpful members of BP.
Good luck with your real estate ambitions!
