LA Based Investor getting into Turnkey

Hello,

I'm based in Los Angeles and work in film & music. I'm looking to meet other REI's. I have been involved in REI for over a decade with good results, but that was based on market timing and less on cash flow.

I am now focusing on cashflow (open to out-of-state) and mostly hands-off approach for now (looking to get into rehab and flips in a few years), so turn key seems to be the way to go for now I guess, but want to learn more about it first.

I've been reading this site non-stop - so much great info, but the camaraderie is what I find truly impressive.

Biggest mistake I think you can make is believing what you are told without doing your own homework. We bought homes in Memphis because we were told they were great areas. Turned out many of them were sh*t and we had to reinvent our portfolio.

So do your own homework until you know you have somebody you can trust to look after you, but always check things out yourself!
