Hello, from Tyler, Texas!!

Posted

I have been investing in the East Texas area for 2 years. I focus on properties that need rehab. We take ugly, make it pretty, then run to the bank! I currently have 6 buy and hold single family properties in Van,Canton, Mineola, and Quitman. I'm very interested in small multifamily and self storage as well. Real Estate has been hard work, and very rewarding. I have learned more in the last 2 years than my previous 43. I'm wanting to connect with investors in my area to talk real estate,  my friends are tired of hearing about it. Thanks!!!

How have y'all been purchasing your investment properties? Any experience with hard money loans? I have just started reaching out to some hard money lenders about a potential flip property.

We have been at it for a dozen years now and have used hard money on most of our properties.  My wife quit her corporate job a decade ago and got bored, so went back to work part time for a hard money lender.  I am happy to discuss the process and advantages to using hard money - just holler.
