Wait!  I thought all of this was automated!  Well yes, software does wonders with minding and managing a vacation rental.  But software does remove a snake cornered in the fireplace.

What do guests contact homeowners or property managers about? I looked through our service call logs over the last year for the “top 10.” These are calls that often resulted in an immediate visit to the property to keep the stay satisfactory and intact.

1.  “We can’t get the TV to come on.”

1(b). “We can’t get the cable TV to work.”

    2.  “We are lost, we can’t find the cabin.”

    3.  “We can’t figure out how to get in to the cabin.”

    4.  “The toilet isn’t working.”

    5.  “The internet isn’t working.”

    6.  “The fireplace isn’t coming on.”

    7.  “The AC isn’t cooling”.

    8.  “Our trash is overflowing…can someone come get it?”

    9.   “The _______ appliance doesn’t work.” (Hot tub, refrigerator, oven, etc.

10.. “There is a critter (snake, mouse, etc) in the cabin.”
